Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour have said goodbye to Hawkins, but they aren't saying goodbye to working together.

The Stranger Things co-stars are teaming up for a brand-new Netflix series.

Brown and Harbour are set to star in and executive produce an upcoming spy drama show from A24 that has received a straight-to-series order at Netflix. The pair will play father and daughter once again in the new series, which comes from Emmy-winning Adolescence writer Jack Thorne.

The currently untitled thriller follows "disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour)" who "is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) — now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps — vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him," according to an official description from the streamer.

"We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before,” Jinny Howe, the Netflix head of scripted series in US and Canada, said. “Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. A24 is the perfect partner to bring this story to our members around the world.”

Brown's husband, Jake Bongiovi, and her father, Robert Brown, will executive produce the show for PCMA Productions.

The first trailer for Disney's Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is here.

The next installment in the popular Descendants franchise, which follows the children of Disney heroes and villains, sees the return of Red and Chloe, played by Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker. The new trailer was released Friday.

This time around, Red and Chloe are forced to deal with the fallout of a changing past and face a new villain named Maddox Hatter, portrayed by Leonardo Nam, as they try to save the Queen of Hearts and Wonderland.

Rita Ora reprises her role as the Queen of Hearts, with Paolo Montalban as King Charming, Melanie Paxson returning as the Fairy Godmother and Brandy as Cinderella.

Wicked Wonderland will also welcome new cast members Liamani Segura as Pink, Red's younger sister; Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Maddox's son; and Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal, Luisa Madrigal's son.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres on Disney Channel on July 16 and will be available to stream on Disney+ starting July 17.

Disney+ has given a pilot order to a series based on the 2006 film Aquamarine. Deadline reports the project will be for both Disney+ and Disney Channel and will star one of the original film's actors, Emma Roberts. She will also produce it. The original film's director, Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, is set to return at the helm, with The Bold Type creator Sarah Watson on board to write the pilot. The pilot follows a teenager named Coral who moves to a seaside town and discovers her mother was a mermaid just as magical powers awaken in herself. Disney is the parent company of ABC News ... 

Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud is set to make his Broadway debut. The actor will appear in a revival of Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain. Joining Arnaud is Superman actor David Corenswet, who also makes his Broadway debut in the production. Yvonne Strahovski will also appear in the revival, which starts performances in February 2027 ...

Michael Gandolfini is the latest actor to join Daniels' upcoming, untitled event film. The Bear is taking its last reservations.

All eight episodes of the Emmy-winning drama's fifth and final season are now streaming on Hulu. The season takes place over the course of one day in the titular Chicago restaurant, where everything that could possibly go wrong does — and then some. Adding to the pressure is the threat of imminent closure by The Bear's chief investor, Olivier Platt's Uncle Jimmy.

"I think it makes so much sense for everybody to throw themselves into this last service, to be existing with these characters in real time. ... It amps everything up, you know?" Jeremy Allen White, who plays Carmy Berzatto, told ABC Audio.

"There's more struggle, there's more urgency, time is important, stakes rise, and so yeah, I thought structuring the last season this way was just a great, great idea, and ended up being really effective."

The season also picks up right after Carmy's season 4 finale decision to leave The Bear in the hands of Sydney, Natalie and Richie. That means Ayo Edebiri [EYE-oh eh-deh-BEE-ree]'s Sydney finds herself in charge in the most stressful of circumstances, before finally breaking down. 

"It's a lot to get to do inside and have it build," she told ABC Audio. "And so when it does come out in those physical moments, that's always really fun for me. I feel like my body is, like, Laffy Taffy."

As for Ebon [EH-ben] Moss-Bachrach's front-of-house manager Richie, he refuses to give up and goes overboard in trying to motivate the staff to keep going.

"It is a very aggressive optimism, maybe, I would say," he laughs. "It feels nice to play someone who has that generosity, who wants to take care of everyone."

We now have our first look at Robert Eggers' Werwulf.

Focus Features posted the first photo and official description for the upcoming film to Instagram on Thursday. Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as a character called Man in the movie. The photo features him in the forest surrounded by dogs and holding a large spear. 

Lily-Rose Depp and Willem Dafoe also make up the film's cast. All three actors previously worked with Eggers in his film Nosferatu.

Focus Features' first-look post describes Taylor-Johnson's Man as "a 13th-century man haunted by his bestial metamorphosis."

The film's tagline has also been released. It reads, "Werwulf is a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation, and the devil within.”

Werwulf is set to release on Christmas Day. This is similar to Nosferatu, which released on Christmas Day in 2024.

Nosferatu became Focus Features' second-highest-grossing movie in the U.S. It made $90.5 million in theaters after its December 2024 release.

Somebody once told me Donkey is getting his own movie.

DreamWorks Animation has officially announced that a Shrek spinoff film centered on the character of Donkey is headed to movie theaters. It will arrive on big screens on June 30, 2028.

The studio announced the news on Instagram Thursday.

"Start heating up those waffle irons. DONKEY is setting out on his very own adventure June 30, 2028," the post's caption reads.

The new movie will be an origin story following how Donkey came to be, according to Deadline, which broke the story. Eddie Murphy will once again voice the animated talking animal.

The Lego Batman Movie's Charlie Bean is set to direct Donkey, while Matt Flynn will co-direct. Rebecca Huntley will produce it.

Murphy previously spoke about this upcoming Donkey spinoff in an interview with Screen Rant in July 2025.

"We’re doing a Donkey one, and that’ll [be released] three years from now," Murphy said at the time. “Donkey‘s going to be like how Puss in Boots had his own movie, Donkey’s going to have his own movie — [his] own little story with his dragon wife and his kids that are half-dragon and half-donkeys. They’ve written this funny story."

A fifth Shrek film is set to release in theaters a year ahead of the Donkey movie on June 30, 2027.

DreamWorks previously made two other Shrek spinoff films. Puss in Boots was released in 2011, while its sequel, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, debuted in 2022.

The official trailer for the upcoming Sense and Sensibility film has arrived.

Daisy Edgar-Jones will star as Elinor in the adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel, which arrives to theaters on Oct. 16.

Also starring are Esmé Creed-Miles as Marianne Dashwood, Caitríona Balfe as Mrs. Dashwood, Frank Dillane as John Willoughby, George MacKay as Edward Ferrars, Herbert Nordrum as Colonel Brandon, Bodhi Rae Breathnach as Margaret Dashwood and Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Jennings.

Georgia Oakley directs the movie for Focus Features and Working Title. Bestselling author Diana Reid adapted Austen's book for the film's screenplay. This adaptation is "an irresistible new take on Jane Austen’s iconic Sense and Sensibility: a charming, witty, and deeply relatable story of love and sisterhood," according to an official description.

Sense and Sensibility, of course, follows sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood. It shows the journey of their love lives, losses and financial uncertainty, all of which they navigate as complete opposites in emotional approach.

The new trailer shows off this take on the classic story, with sisters Elinor and Marianne navigating their lives and considering the possibility of romantic love.

"The man who loves me must burn with it, with all his passions, without the lightest restraint or hesitation," Creed-Miles' Marianne says in the trailer.

The trailer ends with Marianne saying, "I think a man ought to be at least artificially passionate or he'd be sincerely dull," before admitting to her sister, "I require so much."

The film marks the third Austen adaptation for Focus Features and Working Title after the 2005 Pride & Prejudice film and 2020's Emma. Sense and Sensibility was previously brought to the screen by Ang Lee in his 1995 film starring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant.

The search for the new James Bond seems to be shaking (not stirring) up. Deadline reports that Denis Villeneuve, who is set to direct the next James Bond film for Amazon MGM Studios, has started informing the talent who have made it to the next round of auditions. According to the outlet, Villeneuve has been calling the talent directly, with the next round of auditions set for the month of August ...

Invincible is coming back for more. Prime Video has renewed the adult animated TV series for a sixth season. This renewal comes just after season 4 finished its run and months ahead of season 5's debut. The show's official Instagram posted a graphic to announce that season 6 was confirmed. It was captioned, "Mark, this is good news!!!!!!" ...

The trailer for season 15 of King of the Hill has arrived. All 10 episodes of the 15th season are set to stream to Hulu on July 20. This new season finds Hank and Peggy settling "into retirement life on Rainey Street while attempting to keep their neighbors from going off the rails," according to its official synopsis. Voicemails for Isabelle, which became the #1 movie on Netflix the first weekend it was released, has a musical pedigree. The score was co-composed by Este Haim of the group HAIM, and it features several big pop music needle drops, including Taylor Swift's "Marjorie," from Evermore, and "New Year's Day," from Reputation.

Director Leah McKendrick, who identifies as a "hardcore Swiftie," told ABC Audio that she was thrilled to be able to use the songs in the film. "I love Taylor. She's the poet of our time. She's the Shakespeare of our times, the voice of our generation," she said.

"I think we can all really connect with this wistful little girl that became a woman, who has experienced the full spectrum of love and heartbreak and articulates it so gorgeously in a way that is accessible and, simultaneously poetry," she continued, adding, "She amazes me. ... I want Taylor Swift's songs in all my movies."

"Marjorie" is used to soundtrack a pivotal moment in the film when Jill, played by Zoey Deutch, is grieving for her younger sister Isabelle, who passed away. "New Year's Day" is heard when Jill's love interest Wes, played by Nick Robinson, is missing her. 

"In my mind, we have this girl who's yearning, longing, grieving, and we have the perfect song: 'Marjorie' just feels so right," said McKendrick. "But by the end, he's the one longing, yearning, grieving -- listening to Taylor Swift."

At first, McKendrick wasn't sure if the production would be able to afford not two Taylor Swift songs. But, she said, "Netflix really understood ... [that] [m]y music is my everything. It's part of my process. It's a part of what I want to deliver to my audience. It will always be banger after banger in all of my movies. I own that."

Tom Holland referred to his wife, Zendaya, by an unexpected name at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere in Rome.

While the pair were talking to different reporters on the red carpet at the premiere, Holland called out to Zendaya to ask her a question, as seen in a video shared by People.

"Maree!" Holland shouted, to which Zendaya responded back, "Yeah?"

Holland then asked her where they were going after the premiere, to which she said, "Giolitti's." Zendaya added more context to the reporter she was speaking with, telling them, "That's where I'm going after this."

Zendaya's full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, meaning Holland used one of her middle names to refer to her on the carpet.

Holland also posted photos of him and Zendaya at the premiere to his Instagram on Tuesday.

The first photo in his carousel is a black-and-white picture of him and Zendaya walking hand-in-hand across the Ponte Sant'Angelo in Rome. Zendaya is dressed in a vintage Giorgio Armani web dress.

The second photo was taken in color and features the couple looking up at the sky as a Spider-Man: Brand New Day graphic is displayed on Castel Sant'Angelo behind them. Many other black-and-white and color photos follow in the rest of Holland's post.

It's time to go back to Texas.

Dutton Ranch has been renewed for season 2 at Paramount+. This renewal comes ahead of the release of the first season's final two episodes.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return to their Yellowstone roles of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in the spinoff series. Also starring are Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

The ensemble cast also includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.

Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip, who "are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch," according to a press release. "With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be."

As Beth and Rip fight to build their future far away from Yellowstone and all its ghosts, "they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul," an official synopsis reads.

The spinoff garnered the biggest original series launch in the streaming service's history, according to numbers from the company. It generated 12.9 million global streaming views in the seven days following its premiere.

Chad Feehan served as showrunner on Dutton Ranch season 1. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan executive produces, as do stars Hauser and Reilly.

“Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity,” Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, said in a press release. “We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in season 2.”

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official trailer for Practical Magic 2. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman once again star as the magical Owens sisters in this highly anticipated sequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic.

Along with Bullock and Kidman, who are both producing the project, the film stars Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod, Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest.

Practical Magic 2 follows the Owens sisters as they "must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem," according to an official description from Warner Bros.

The trailer finds all of the Owens women living in the same picturesque white home by the water from the first film.

"No magic is stronger than sisterhood," Channing's Franny says in the trailer. "Cast by fate, tested by time and never broken."

We also see the daughters of Bullock's Sally Owens and Kidman's Gillian Owens dreaming about romantic love — and doubting the family curse. That doubt causes heartbreak when Kylie (King) finds her boyfriend dead.

"Kylie said she's gonna go fix the curse," Gillian says later in the trailer.

"This will lead her into the dark path," Franny responds. "If you want to find her, you have to work together."

Susanne Bier directed the film from a script by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett. It's based on the novel The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman.

Practical Magic 2 debuts to theaters on Sept. 11.

Jacob Elordi, Teyana Taylor and Josh O'Connor are among the 529 people The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited to join its ranks as members.

Other actors invited to join the academy include Jon Bernthal, Josh Gad, Julia Garner, Mia Goth, Simu Liu, Jenna Ortega, Bill Skarsgård and Jenny Slate.

Along with Elordi and Taylor, 2026 Oscar acting nominee Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas also received an invitation to join the academy's ranks.

“We are delighted to invite this remarkable group of film artists and professionals from around the world to join the Academy,” academy CEO Bill Kramer and academy President Lynette Howell Taylor said in a press release. “Through their commitment to filmmaking, this year’s exceptionally talented class has made significant contributions to our global movie industry.”

The rest of the actors who have received invitations to join the academy are Mathieu Amalric, Raúl Briones, Kenneth Choi, Jemaine Clement, Paddy Considine, David Dastmalchian, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Veronica Ferres, Stephen Fry, Wood Harris, Suzy Eddie Izzard, Scoot McNairy, Tig Notaro, Daniella Pineda, Lily Rabe, Anthony Ramos and Miguel Sandoval.

If all of the people invited decide to accept their membership, the total amount of academy members will increase to 11,319, including emeritus. The number of voting members will stand at 10,338.

With the new additions of the 2025 member class, the academy would consist of 36% women, with 25% of them from underrepresented communities and 22% international.

My Life with the Walter Boys is getting ready to return.

Netflix has announced that the third season of the romance series is set to debut on Aug. 6.

The streaming service also released first-look photos from season 3 to tide fans over before they get to see the fallout of Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole's (Noah LaLonde) overheard love confessions.

"The path of true love never runs smooth, especially in Silver Falls. The last time we saw the Walters, Jackie and Cole finally confessed their love for each other, only for Jackie’s boyfriend — and Cole’s brother — Alex (Ashby Gentry) to overhear," according to an official description from Netflix. "But their conversation was interrupted when Walter patriarch George was rushed to the hospital. Season 3 sees the Walters realize what’s important in the fallout from this – and discover that it’s okay to go after what you want."

Season 3 finds Alex turning toward his new rodeo racing team while Cole is discovered by a race car driver.

"Meanwhile, Jackie pours her heart into developing the town’s community space. But when a childhood friend arrives from New York, the life she left behind proves harder to forget than she expected," the description concludes.

Also starring in season 3 are Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas, Connor Stanhope, Jaylan Evans, Corey Fogelmanis, Zoë Soul, Ashley Tavares, Dean Petriw and Johnny Link.

My Life with the Walter Boys has already been renewed for season 4. Season 3 will consists of 10 episodes. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Ali Novak.

Revivals of The Sound of Music and A Few Good Men are headed to Broadway.

Both productions will make it to the Great White Way as part of Lincoln Center Theater's 2026-27 season.

The Sound of Music revival will open at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in spring 2027. Tony nominee Jasmine Amy Rogers will star as Maria von Trapp in this production of the classic musical. The role was made famous by Julie Andrews in the beloved 1965 film adaptation.

The Sound of Music originally opened on Broadway in 1959. It has not been revived since 1998. Performances start on March 23, 2027, with an opening night of April 15.

Headed to the Vivian Beaumont Theater this fall is a revival of the play A Few Good Men.

Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth are set to star in the production, with Blyth making his Broadway debut. Tony winner Michael Arden will direct the first-ever Broadway revival of Aaron Sorkin's courtroom drama, which starts performances on Oct. 8 and has an opening night of Oct. 29.

Blyth took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate his upcoming Broadway debut.

"broadway debut baby! back to the old stomping ground," Blyth wrote. "You can’t handle the truth!!!"

A Few Good Men was first produced on stage in 1989. It was then adapted into the 1992 film that starred Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson and was directed by Rob Reiner.

Get ready for a new field trip.

A live-action film adaptation of The Magic School Bus is coming to the big screen from Legendary Entertainment and Scholastic Entertainment, ABC Audio has confirmed.

Elizabeth Banks is taking on the role of everyone's favorite teacher, Ms. Frizzle. She will also produce the film. Detective Pikachu director Rob Letterman will write the treatment and helm the movie, which will be based on the book series created by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen.

The Magic School Bus celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026. It started off as a book series, which currently has over 90 million books in print. It then expanded to TV with the original PBS animated series that starred Lily Tomlin as Ms. Frizzle. That series aired from 1994 to 1997 in more than 100 countries, according to a press release.

A newer TV adaptation of the story, called The Magic School Bus: Rides Again, aired from 2017 to 2021 on Netflix. It starred Kate McKinnon as Ms. Frizzle's younger sister, Ms. Fiona Felicity Frizzle.

Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman will produce the new film for Scholastic; Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small will produce it for Brownstone Productions; Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will produce for Marc Platt Productions; and Mary Parent, Ali Mendes and Cale Boyter are set to produce the movie for Legendary.

The Big Bang Theory spinoff series Stuart Fails to Save the Universe now has an official trailer.

The new series stars Kevin Sussman as Stuart, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert and John Ross Bowie as Barry.

"Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon," according to its official logline. "Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory. As the title implies, things don’t go well."

The official trailer shows off some of the other familiar faces who will appear in the high-concept series, including Christine Baranski, Riki Lindhome and the comedian Teller. Jon Cryer also appears in a kaleidoscope graphic in the trailer.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe comes from Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. It is created, written and executive produced by Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is not the first Big Bang Theory spinoff. Young Sheldon, which followed the origins of the original show's protagonist, Sheldon Cooper, aired on CBS from 2017 to 2024. A spinoff of Young Sheldon, titled Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, currently airs on CBS. It premiered in October 2024 and recently concluded its second season.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe makes its streaming debut to HBO Max on July 23. It will consist of 10 episodes that will be released weekly every Thursday.

We now have the release date for the upcoming The Blair Witch Project film.

Lionsgate has announced that the new horror movie will arrive in theaters on Sept. 24, 2027. The studio shared the release date in a post to Instagram on Tuesday.

The post featured a short video of the release date written in tree branches with eerie music playing in the background. Its caption simply reads, "9.24.27."

Blumhouse's Jason Blum and Atomic Monster's James Wan are set to produce the film. YouTube horror filmmaker Dylan Clark will direct it.

Clark took to Instagram back in May to share what the opportunity to helm a The Blair Witch Project movie means to him.

"The Blair Witch Project is one of the films that got me into filmmaking. To have the opportunity to step into that world with some of the people responsible for its creation is an absolute dream," he wrote. "Can’t wait to see everyone in the woods soon."

Clark recently partnered with Universal Pictures to adapt his horror short film Portrait of God, which is being produced by Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele.

The original Blair Witch Project debuted to theaters in 1999. A sequel, titled Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, arrived in 2000. The franchise was rebooted by Lionsgate in 2016 with the Adam Wingard-directed movie Blair Witch.
