David McNew/Getty Images(SANTA ROSA, Calif.) -- A possibly weary contracted driver of a water truck helping to fight Californias wildfires died Monday morning after his truck veered off the road and rolled over, officials said.

A significant cold front moved through the Bayou State leaving us with some much needed relief.

 

After Three days, the trial is over. Antonio Boyd, the so called head of the Triple M Murder Team,  took a plea deal during the lunch recess of his trial Friday.

 

An oil rig exploded in Lake Pontchartrain on Sunday evening  near St. Charles Parish and north Kenner, according to Kenner Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brian McGregor. Seven people were injured in the explosion.

 

Former state Rep. John Schroder, R-Covington, is headed to a Nov. 18 runoff against New Orleans attorney Derrick Edwards to choose Louisiana's next treasurer.
